More on Personal Branding

I continue to be intrigued by the concept of personal branding and now think a blog is a far better resource than a resume for showing an employer who you are and how you think. Here are a couple recent blog posts on the topic as it relates to recruiting and hiring (category here):

With one's expertise and thinking "out there" on a blog, employers are now drawn to people they want to hire without them ever applying for a job. Companies create new positions for people when they see strong personal brands, because they can envision how the new hire will impact the organization. An employment offer without a resume whatsoever is not out of the question anymore.
