I'm a huge fan of the Mexican restaurant chain Chipotle. I eat there all the time and recommend it to friends and family. So today I'm reading about a Chipotle IPO, which sounded great for the company. Then I read that the chain is owned (apparently 90 percent ownership) by McDonald's. Am I the only one who didn't know that? Talk about two different brand experiences. One makes me think processed, pre-made food in Playland and the other makes me think fresh, custom-made food in a hip, modern setting. Yet I'm actually a fan of both (yes, even after seeing Super Size Me).
