Today while watching ESPN and the NBC coverage of the U.S. Open, I saw the excellent Nike TV ad celebrating Father's Day and honoring Earl Woods, the late father of Tiger Woods. Planned and announced before Tiger did not make the weekend cut for the U.S. Open, I'm sure the spot was intended to complement Tiger's run for the title. I'm glad Tiger wasn't in the running because the references to "honoring his dad's memory" would have been overwhelming. I think the ad does a great job. My understanding is that Wieden+Kennedy developed the spot for Nike.
